ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø Voters Approve Propositions A and B in $300.8 million bond package

On November 8, 2022, voters approved $300.8 million in bonds to be used for safety and security/renovations/repairs/rebuilds/buses, and technology.

Propositions A and B were approved and include:

Proposition A: Safety and Security/Renovations/Repairs/Rebuilds/Buses

• Rebuild Mullendore Elementary
• Build New Partner School (Smith/Francisco)
• Renovations at Denton Hwy. property
• Haltom High Cafeteria expansion
• Repairs/Upgrades
• Buses
• Press Boxes at all three high school football, baseball and softball fields
• Artificial Turf at all three high school baseball and softball fields

Proposition B: Technology

• Maintain replacement cycles for student/staff devices

With all precincts reporting, 40,545 total voters cast their votes in ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø’s bond election.

• Proposition A had 21,824 votes For and 18,721 votes Against;
• Proposition B had 21,567 votes For and 18,813 votes Against; and
• Proposition C had 19,062 votes For and 21,205 votes Against.

“I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the more than 50 community members that spent countless hours developing the bond proposal presented to voters in November,” Superintendent Dr. Gayle Stinson said. “In addition, thank you to the ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍøBackers, the board of trustees, ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø staff, and community supporters for your commitment to educating ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø families about the needs across the District and how the 2022 bond proposal would address those needs. Thank you all for your support of our children.”

With the passage of these propositions, the board of trustees has put into place plans for a citizen’s Bond Oversight Committee. This Committee will monitor the progress of the work to assure consistency with the propositions approved by voters. At least four times a year, the Committee will report on the progress to trustees. In addition to the report to trustees, quarterly reports will be available for review on the District’s website.

Los votantes de ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø aprueban las proposiciones A y B en el paquete de bono de $300.8 millones.

El 8 de noviembre de 2022, los votantes aprobaron $300.8 millones en bono que se utilizarán para seguridad protección/renovaciones/reparaciones/construcciones/autobuses, tecnología. 

Las proposiciones A y B fueron aprobadas e incluyen:

Proposición A: Seguridad y protección/Renovaciones/Reconstrucciones/Autobuses

• Reconstruir la escuela primaria Mullendore
• Construir una nueva escuela asociada (Smith/Francisco)
• Renovaciones en la propiedad de Denton Hwy.
• Ampliación de la cafetería de la preparatoria Haltom
• Reparaciones/Actualizaciones
• Autobuses
• Palcos de prensa en los campos de fútbol, béisbol y softball en las tres escuelas preparatorias
• Césped artificial en los campos de béisbol y softball en las tres escuelas preparatorias

Proposición B: Tecnología

• Mantener los ciclos de reemplazo para dispositivos de los estudiantes/personal

Con los distritos electorales reportados, 40,545 votantes emitieron sus votos en la elección de bono de ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø.

• La proposición A obtuvo 21,824 votos a favor y 18,721 en contra;
• La proposición B tuvo 21,567 votos a favor y 18,813 votos en contra; y
• La proposición C obtuvo 19,062 votos a favor y 21,205 en contra.

 “Me gustaría expresar mi sincero agradecimiento a los más de 50 miembros de la comunidad que pasaron innumerables horas desarrollando la propuesta de bonos presentada a los votantes en noviembre", dijo la Superintendente Dra. Gayle Stinson. "Además, gracias a los Backers de Birdville, a la junta directiva, al personal de ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø y a los partidarios de la comunidad por su compromiso de educar a las familias de ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø sobre las necesidades en todo el Distrito y cómo la propuesta de bonos de 2022 abordaría esas necesidades. Gracias a todos por su apoyo a nuestros niños".

Con la aprobación de estas proposiciones, la junta directiva ha puesto en marcha planes para un Comité de Supervisión de Bono de los ciudadanos. Este Comité supervisará el progreso de las obras para garantizar la consistencia con las propuestas aprobadas por los votantes. Al menos cuatro veces al año, el Comité informará a los administradores sobre los progresos realizados. Además del informe a los administradores, los informes trimestrales estarán disponibles para su revisión en el sitio web del Distrito.
